Our mission is to promote among youth character, integrity, moral stability, academic excellence, and nonviolent approaches to solving problems. Our R.E.S.P.E.C.T. message is to Respect Every Single Person Ever Created Today!
Our History
Our inception started in 1994, and we received letter of determination in March 1998. The R.E.S.P.E.C.T Organization was birthed out of the founder, Pastor Steve Green's vision that every child in the city would attend school on the 1st day with needed school supplies. The vision has expanded overtime to include Chromebooks, masks, hygiene essentials, and more. The annual, Back to School R.E.S.P.E.C.T Rally has been noted as the largest in the nation. The vision continues to grow beyond the Birmingham City limits.
Our Team
The R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Organization serves the community with the following volunteer leadership:
- Board of Directors, consisting of parents, students, businessmen, educators, and community leaders.
- Ministerial Advisory Board, local pastors to provide spiritual guidance.
- All Volunteer Staff
